The hip joint is a ball and socket joint between the pelvis and the top of the thigh bone (femur). One of the most common reasons for damage to the hip joint is osteoarthritis.
Osteoarthritis leads to wear and tear of the joint whereby the cartilage covering the hip is worn a way. As a result, you may experience pain around your hip, groin, upper thigh, which may radiate to your knee. You may also experience stiffness, reduced mobility, and an inability to carry out your daily routine and recreational activities.
