I recently underwent knee replacement surgery with Mr. Magra, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. The surgery was a complete success, and after only 8 weeks, I feel like I have my life back. I can now walk without pain, something I hadn’t been able to do for a long time.
Mr. Magra’s skill and dedication to his patients are truly exceptional, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have had him as my surgeon. Explained the procedure in layman terms. 1st Class from start to finish. In May I hobbled in suffering excruciating pain in my knee. after my operation I walked out with no aids, pain free. Had my follow up today and again what had been done explained and photos of before and after. Totally amazing. Can not thank or praise Mr Magra enough.

Mr. Magra is both highly professional and very approachable. After an assessment in January 2024, I was offered a hip replacement operation within 6 weeks. Now, 8 weeks on from the operation, I can hardly believe the transformation that benefits me physically and emotionally. I’m now able to walk confidently and quickly, above all without pain — the pain that blighted my life before the operation. At this stage, I use just one walking pole as a precaution, but otherwise am building towards returning to my beloved long distance walks this summer. Mr. Magra and his team have been outstanding, and a pleasure to interact with.

I have found his total care and professional approach to me as being one of his patients, was excellent, for me being at the younger age of 55 , I have suffered with all my lower joints of the limb girdle down, with varying degrees of difficulty, discomfort and pain, in particular with the hips,
after having a hip replacement with a different surgeon several years ago, I unfortunately shortly after suffered a nervous breakdown , due to many, many factors, and not all were related to the surgery itself, which left me feeling somewhat reluctant and anxious about the possibility of surgery again which was still very much needed for my second hip replacement, so naturally I was feeling and anxious and fearful of surgery coupled with again many unfortunate events and circumstances beyond my control that had recently occurred in my life,
but not this time all was just so relaxed and easy , and I admit to being nervous on the day but the results were marvellous and now 7 weeks after I can say that I’m feeling that life is good and all my pain from the hip has vanished and I’m free to continue my normal routine and enjoy the things I love, thank you

I am now 7 weeks post op for total knee replacement by Mr Magra at Meadowside hospital Lancaster on Sept 5th 2023. I am delighted with both his highly skilled work as a surgeon and the results. I consider myself very fortunate to have been under the care of Mr Magra for two knee replacement operations. Recovery from my recent left knee replacement operation on 29th November 2022 has been amazing. Within a couple of weeks I was comfortably managing to walk unaided. Seven weeks later and I can walk for some distance without any pain. The level of care and expertise I experienced was exceptional. Mr Magra and following support from staff ensured I gained a positive and speedy recovery.

I had a total hip replacement 8 weeks ago. I was unable to walk very far due to the pain. I can highly recommend Mr Magra for his skill and patience in answering questions. I can now walk a mile using one crutch and half a mile with no crutch. Mr Magra has changed my life. A big thank you.

I found Mr Magra to be very personable and approachable and his professionalism right from the start reassured me that my hip replacement would be a huge success. On the day of the operation he visited me to explain, again, the steps involved in the procedure. Both he and the Spire team did everything to keep me informed and reassured as much as possible. From the short Post-op recovery the pain caused by my arthritic hip was gone and now, some 10 weeks later, my home life feels like it is back on track and am enjoying the huge improvement the hip replacement has made in my day to day activities from simple dog walks to enjoying forest trail walking. Mr Magra has succeeded in making me feel like the old me.

I cannot praise the skill, kindness and care of Mr Magra. It is almost two weeks after my hip replacement. An amazing success. I feel so happy and pain free now. I can walk upright albeit with a crutch at the moment. That is something I have been unable to do for a very long time. He explains everything so very well and is very patient if you have questions. I would definitely recommend this wonderful man. He is my hero.
